Time to Read:
I did it!

I have traveled 360 degrees around this little blue dot of ours!
I traveled 13 hours to go forward in time 7 minutes. I have had 36 hours of July 15th.
I’ve studied 7 languages (and learned a few words in 3 more) and traveled to well over 30 cities in 14 countries on 3 continents.
I swam in one sea and one ocean. I swam 21K in 7 days in that one ocean. I’ve climbed 3776 meters (that’s 12,388 feet) of elevation, I crossed 50 degrees of latitude and chewed through countless miles and/or kilometers in trains, plains and automobiles.
I’ve learned countless nouns, verbs, prepositions, declensions, articles and things you just can’t exactly translate at 12 different language schools.
I’ve eaten lord knows how many calories worth of crepes, donuts, Schnitzel, pizzas, sausages, gelato, sushi, takoyaki, stir fry, ongiri and more. Whatever number of calories that is, I’ve got 8 extra pounds of me to show for it.
I’ve had so many great teachers, endless fascinating conversations, encountered a multitude of acts of kindness and made myriad marvelous new friendships. My phone is filled with phone numbers that start in so many different country codes and are stored across 4 different communication apps.
I have checked multiple boxes on my bucket list, brought so many dreams into reality and came home to one absolutely remarkable husband.

That’s my round the world trip by the numbers. Stay tuned for the 10s of yet unwritten blog posts still floating around in my head.
Yes, I have traveled 360 degrees and I did 100% of what I set out to do.
